What happens when the end of the world is going to murder all the hilarious people is the plot of How It Ends. The film follows Zoe Lister-Jones’ Liza as she tries to meet up with everyone who is important to her in the hours coming up to a meteor impacting the planet and wiping out civilisation, as written by Zoe Lister-Jones and Daryl Wein. Liza is joined by a younger version of herself, played by Cailee Spaeny, everyone’s favorite Easttown dead girl. Liza and her younger self debate the meaning of life while visiting ex-boyfriends, old friends, and her mother (played by Helen Hunt) and father (Bradley Whitford).
